The Statistical Consulting and
Survey Unit of the
Newfoundland & Labrador Statistics Agency provides statistical
consulting and survey services. Our clientele include the
planning and research staff of all Provincial Government
departments, special working groups and outside agencies. As a
centralized statistical consulting service, the Unit provides
assistance with the collection, manipulation and analysis of
statistical data. As well, the Unit collects and maintains data
under the authority the
Statistics Act and provides guidance on survey
design, data collection and statistical analysis.
Within the guidelines of the
Statistics Act, the
Newfoundland & Labrador Statistics Agency develops and promotes
economic, social, demographic and financial statistics relevant
to Newfoundland and Labrador. The Statistical Consulting and
Survey Unit creates and administers both household and business
surveys within the province on a wide range of topics. |
